Multisystemic Therapist

Child Guidance Resource Center has an opening for a Multisystemic Therapist (MST) to work in our MST department in Delaware County.
The MST (Multisystemic Therapy) Therapist provides intensive, home and community-based family therapy to children and adolescents displaying social, emotional and/or behavioral disorders and their families. As part of a therapeutic team, the MST Therapist provides a continuum of services, including intensive case management, system advocacy, information/referral, therapy (individual to child or adult, family and couples), and crisis intervention/stabilization, adhering to the principles established by the MST model.
Responsibilities:
? Conducts biopsychosocials and MST assessments utilizing MST principles in order to familiarize oneself with client and family dynamics.
? Monitors multi-system advocacy to ensure clients and families rights and their access to appropriate community service/resources.
? Timely and accurate completion of all case progress notes in order to maintain treatment events and client progress; utilizes DAP format and relates notes to treatment plans.

Requirements:
? Master?s Degree in a counseling, psychology, social work, license in respective field preferred.
? Minimum of three (3) years? experience working in a child and families in a mental health, education, child welfare or juvenile justice system/secure juvenile setting.
? Competent to address the age-specific issues relative to the population served.
? Broad clinical practice experience in family therapy, child therapy, behavior therapy, individual therapy, group counseling and crisis intervention/stabilization.
? Knowledge of DSM-5, community resources, home-based service provision, special education, 302 criteria, abuse/neglect report procedures, and passive restraint procedures preferred.
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
? Flexible hours including evenings and/or weekends as necessary.
? Valid driver?s license required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
